Floating Steel Shade Structure

Overview

The client was introduced to CRDG through Dual Concept Design, who was hired by the client to handle the interiors for the condo as well as the furniture for the terrace. CRDG & DCD worked together to extend the client’s living space to the outdoors. Our biggest challenge was designing a shade structure that would not penetrate the existing roof membrane. This meant that we needed to develop a floating structure in order to avoid dropping a post on the deck. The shade structure, screening and planters create a private oasis for the client to truly enjoy outdoor living.

Thank you to Dual Concept Design for involving us in the project!
