This past weekend The Chicago Botanic Gardens put on an event known as “The Night of 1,000 Jack-O’-Lanterns” and it was hauntingly good! Just a short drive outside of the city, this event is the perfect fall festivity for a family, friends, or for a fun date-night!
I’ve been to the Chicago Botanic Gardens countless times in my days, but never have I been there in the cool dark evening with fog rolling in from the pond beyond and it was incredibly majestic. With a hot cider in one hand and snapchat ready I-phone in the other, I was good to go. Over 1000 pumpkins lined the way as guests meandered through the trail marked by gorgeously intricate jack-o-lanterns varying in themes from Pop-Culture to Sports and even a section dedicated solely to Dia De Los Muertos.
Enjoy some of the photos from the night below. And if you missed it, keep your eyes open next year around this time of year. Tickets sell out fast and after having experienced it first hand, I can certainly understand why!
