Chicago is known for many different things ranging from the gangsters that ruled the streets in the 1920’s & 1930’s to the beautiful architecture that lines the streets today. One of the best parts of living in or visiting Chicago is the unparalleled Restaurant scene. Chicago is home to some of the most fantastic restaurants in the world and, as a result, many of the best chefs in the world are proud to call Chicago their home.
Today we have selected Five of Chicago’s Hottest chefs and have come up with a list of items that we feel would be must-have accessories for their dream home Roof Deck Oases or kitchens:
GRAHAM ELLIOT – Chef of Graham Elliot Bistro and Judge of Masterchef says that, ‘an essential part of entertaining, along with great food, is great music.’ And we couldn’t agree more! For that reason, we know Graham would love to kick back and relax while listening to the Rolling Stones on a Sweet Record Player & State-of-the-Art Custom Sound System such as this one by Department Chicago: http://www.departmentchicago.com/#!hifi—console/pfz20
TONY MANTUANO – The only thing cooler than ‘farm to table’ is ‘roof to table’, so for Head Chef of Spiaggia – Tony Mantuano, we would have to set aside 1000+SF to allow for plenty of space to grow his own ingredients. Talk about keeping it fresh! Più radicchio si prega!
RICK BAYLESS – The Head Chef of Frontera Grill and most recently XOCO knows a thing or two about Traditional Mexican Cuisine. And based on the extensive list of drink options on Frontera’s Menu, we are going to say he knows a thing or two about how to make a pretty mean margarita as well. For that reason, we would be sure to include a one-of-a kind, fully stocked bar complete with all of the works necessary to throw together the perfect summer drink when gathering with friends and family.
ALPANA SINGH – While we are on the subject of a good drink, we think that is something that Master Sommelier at The Boarding House, Alpana Singh, is well versed in as well. We heard through the ‘grapevine’ that Alpana, who was born and raised in Monterey, CA knows pretty much everything there is to know about fine wine. For that reason, we are thinking she could fill up every square inch of one of these beauties by VindeGarde: http://www.vindegarde.ca/minto-fridge.html
STEPHANIE IZARD – She was the first female chef to win Bravo‘s Top Chef, and is the head Chef at Girl & The Goat, Little Goat, and just opened up her newest restaurant, Duck Duck Goat. We have a feeling free-time might be hard to come by for Stephanie with all that she has on her plate, but when she does get a chance to relax, something tells us she would relax well under a densely planted Shade Structure such as this one:
